The Gypaetus Foundation at Intercaza, Córdoba 2012
Last weekend, 28-30 September, the INTERCAZA fair took place at Córdoba. Gypaetus Foundation participated on this event with an information stand, awareness raising activities for kids and a public talk about the main actions of the European Networks of Hunters and Stockbreeders against Poison. On September 28, 29 and 30th, the Gypaetus Foundation took part of the XVI Intercaza Fair 2012 with an informative stand where two field technicians helped and shared information to visitors about the Foundation activities and the Life project “Innovative actions against illegal poisoning in EU Mediterranean pilot areas”, and particularly about the actions developed at the Andalusian pilot areas as well as the international ones (Greece and Portugal).

A talk about the illegal use of poison baits was programmed on Friday 28th, presented by Ivan Parrillo, and addressed to the general public. Several awareness raising activities about conservation and the fight against illegal use of poison baits took place during the fair, specially addressed to children.

hroughout the fair, the Foundation technicians provided visitors with information and general advice to stakeholders involved in the European Networks against Poison, particularly to the hunters, stockbreeders and municipalities that attended the fair.

During September, Gypaetus Foundation was present at other livestock fairs that took place in several locations at Andalusia Region. There, the Foundation offered technical advice and important dissemination and awareness raising activities for children. At Ibercaza (Jaén), there was a collaboration with the Andalusian Institute for Hunting and Continental Fishing and the Andalusian Hunting Federation, while in Huéscar (Granada), the Foundation was invited by the Municipality.
